Hotel Revenue in Oman Hits $190M in March

Oman’s three- to five-star hotel revenue recorded a rise by 49.9 per cent at the end of March 2023 to reach $190M, according to the latest data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The number of three- to five-star hotel guests stood at 522,753, comprising an increase by 25.6 per cent until the end of March 2023 compared to 416,287 guests during the same period in 2022. The hotel occupancy rate in Oman stood at 56.4 per cent.

The number of guests from Oceania recorded a significant surge by 210.2 per cent from 4,049 guests by the end of March 2022 to 12,558 guests by the end of March 2023. Asian guests also recorded a rise of 53.4 per cent, going from 42,157 guests by the end of March 2022 to 64,686 guests by the end of March 2023. Guests from Africa stood at 2,899 guests, constituting a rise by 43.5 per cent compared to March 2022.

The number of European guests stood at 169,334 guests by the end of March 2023, comprising a rise by 41.8 per cent compared to March 2022. Moreover, the number of Arab and other guests by the end of March 2023 stood at 21,639, comprising a rise by 38.1 per cent compared to March 2022. A rise of 30.9 per cent was recorded by the GCC guests, whose number jumped from 25,228 by the end of March 2022 to 33,021 by the end of March 2023.
